Horse Feed in UAE | Breeding Mare Mix and Protein Pellets in 25kg Bags
Horse feed in UAE at Woofy covers two products in 25kg bag formats suited to daily stable feeding. Both are in stock with free delivery on orders over AED 150 and next-day dispatch across Dubai and the wider UAE. The range currently covers a specialist breeding mare mix and a general purpose 16 percent protein pellet feed, both available at competitive prices for UAE horse owners.
National Breeding Mare Mix 25kg
The National Breeding Mare Mix at AED 72 per 25kg bag is a specialist compound feed formulated for mares in the breeding cycle, covering late gestation and early lactation periods when nutritional demands are at their highest. Breeding mares require elevated levels of protein, calcium, phosphorus, and energy compared to maintenance feeding to support foal development in the final trimester and milk production after foaling. A compound mix format delivers these nutrients in a balanced ratio with each portion, reducing the need for multiple individual supplements alongside a base forage diet.
At AED 72 for 25kg, the National Breeding Mare Mix is accessible for small stables and private horse owners managing one or two breeding mares. A 25kg bag provides approximately five to ten days of supplementary feeding depending on the mare's body weight, feeding rate, and forage intake alongside the mix.
Horse Feed 16% Protein Pellets 25kg
The Horse Feed 16% Pellets at AED 45 per 25kg bag is a general-purpose compound pellet providing 16 percent crude protein alongside energy, vitamins, and minerals. A 16 percent protein level suits a broad range of horses in light to moderate work, including horses in regular exercise, young stock in growth phases, and horses recovering condition after illness or stress. The pellet format is consistent in composition, easy to measure accurately by weight, and typically well accepted by horses that may refuse coarser mix textures.
At AED 45 for 25kg, it is the more cost-accessible option in the collection and suits owners feeding multiple horses or those looking to manage feed costs over the longer term. Pellets store well in dry conditions and maintain their nutritional composition better than mash or coarse mix in the UAE's humid summer months.
Feeding 25kg Bags and UAE Delivery Considerations
Both feeds come in 25kg sacks, which is the standard format for stable feed in the UAE. A single horse in moderate work typically consumes between two and four kilograms of compound feed per day alongside unlimited forage, meaning a 25kg bag covers roughly one to two weeks of concentrate feeding. Storage in a cool, dry, ventilated space away from rodents is important for maintaining feed quality, particularly in summer when temperature and humidity accelerate spoilage.
Free delivery applies on orders over AED 150. Both bags individually fall below this threshold. Ordering both bags together at AED 117 combined does not reach AED 150, so combining with other products from the Woofy range will qualify the order for free delivery. Frequently Asked Questions
What horse feed does Woofy stock in the UAE?
Woofy currently stocks two horse feed products: the National Breeding Mare Mix 25kg at AED 72, a specialist compound feed for mares in late gestation and lactation, and a Horse Feed 16% Protein Pellets 25kg at AED 45, a general-purpose compound pellet for horses in light to moderate work. Both are in stock.
What is the difference between a breeding mare mix and general protein pellets?
A breeding mare mix is a specialist compound formulated around the elevated nutritional needs of mares in late pregnancy and early lactation, with higher calcium, phosphorus, and energy levels than a maintenance diet. General 16 percent protein pellets provide a balanced everyday compound for horses in regular work or growth phases that do not have the specific demands of a breeding mare. Both require unlimited forage such as hay or fresh grass alongside the compound feed rather than being used as a sole diet.
How long does a 25kg bag of horse feed last?
This depends on the horse's body weight, workload, and forage availability. As a general guide, a horse in light to moderate work receiving two to three kilograms of compound feed per day will use a 25kg bag in approximately eight to twelve days. Breeding mares in late gestation or peak lactation may require higher daily quantities, shortening the bag's duration. Consult your equine vet or nutritionist for a feeding rate matched to your mare's body condition and stage.
Does Woofy offer free delivery on horse feed in the UAE?
Yes. All orders over AED 150 qualify for free delivery with next-day dispatch across Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, and the Northern Emirates. Each individual bag falls below AED 150, so combining both bags or adding other products from the Woofy range will bring the order above the free delivery threshold.
