Pets Club Avocado Cat House Bed

The Avocado Cat House is an enclosed indoor bed shaped and coloured like a whole avocado, with a cut-out entry point that allows the cat to enter and settle inside. The interior is padded with high-density sponge, which holds its shape under the cat's weight and provides a firm, supportive base for sleeping. The yellow and green exterior sits well in a living room, bedroom, or dedicated cat space without looking out of place among household furniture.

At 40 x 45 x 40 cm, the bed is a medium size that suits most adult cats comfortably when curled up inside. The enclosed walls on three sides and the roof reduce ambient noise and light reaching the cat while they sleep, which is why many cats choose enclosed spaces over open beds when both are available.

Why Many Cats Prefer Enclosed Sleeping Spaces

Cats are instinctively drawn to confined, sheltered spaces for resting. In the wild, a covered sleeping position reduces exposure from above and on the sides, which allows deeper rest. In a UAE apartment, an enclosed bed serves a similar purpose by blocking the direct air flow from air conditioning vents that can disturb lighter sleepers and by reducing the amount of ambient light reaching the cat during daytime sleeping.

Enclosed beds are particularly suited to newly adopted cats, shy cats, and cats that retreat to wardrobes, under beds, or into corners when they want to rest. Providing a dedicated enclosed space typically encourages the cat to use it consistently rather than sleeping in inconvenient locations around the home. The Avocado Cat House works well placed in a low-traffic corner of a room where the cat can observe the space from the entry without feeling exposed.

Size and Placement

The 40 x 45 x 40 cm dimensions suit adult cats of average and medium build, generally in the 3 to 5kg range. The internal space allows a fully grown medium cat to enter, turn around, and curl up comfortably. Larger cats, such as Maine Coons or other large breeds, may find the internal space restrictive and would need a larger enclosed bed.

Place the bed away from direct air conditioning airflow and avoid positioning it in high-traffic areas. Ground level or a low shelf placement works well for most cats. Raised placement, such as on a cat tower platform, suits cats that prefer height when sleeping.

Frequently Asked Questions

What cat bed does Woofy stock in the UAE?

Woofy currently stocks the Pets Club Avocado Cat House, an enclosed indoor cat bed in yellow and green measuring 40 x 45 x 40 cm. It is priced at AED 50, reduced from AED 100, and is suited to adult cats of average build weighing approximately 3 to 5kg.

What size cat does the Avocado Cat House suit?

The 40 x 45 x 40 cm interior suits medium adult cats in the 3 to 5kg range. The enclosed space provides enough room for a medium cat to enter, turn around, and curl up comfortably. Very large breeds or cats over approximately 6kg may find the internal dimensions restrictive.

Is an enclosed cat bed better than an open bed?

Neither is universally better. Cats that curl up tightly when sleeping, retreat to hidden spots around the home, or are shy and easily startled typically prefer enclosed beds, as the covered design provides a greater sense of security. Cats that stretch out when sleeping or prefer to observe their surroundings may favour an open flat or bolster-style bed. Observing where and how your cat already sleeps is the most reliable guide to which style they will use consistently.

Does Woofy offer free delivery on cat beds in the UAE?

Yes. All orders over AED 150 qualify for free delivery with next-day dispatch across Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, and the Northern Emirates. At AED 50, the cat bed falls below the free delivery threshold on its own, but combining it with cat food, litter, or grooming products from the cat collection will bring the order total above AED 150 and qualify it for free shipping. Contact the team via WhatsApp or at hello@woofy.ae with any questions before ordering.
